Staffs Gaming was formed in January 2007 after a small LAN party was ran and all of the attendees decided to make it a regular thing. A year down the line the Staffs Gaming Centre was opened in Fenton (Stoke-on-Trent) to host the LAN parties (with a capacity of 32 players total) and run other gaming events out of there.

SGLAN #14 28th – 30th March
“Mickey Squires makes a return”
First of all I would like to start this article with a formal apology to everyone that attended the LAN, first for their exposure to Mickey Squires and secondly for the near lack of organised gaming. We ran one tournament this past LAN on the Friday night and I just couldn’t pull it together to organise another one, so once again I apologise for the lack of organised gaming I will do it properly next time.
SG LAN #14 actually turned out to be a quite good one, I started the weekend in completely the wrong mood....

SG LAN #13 was a very quite weekend compared to our last LAN, we dropped from a massive 26 attendees to 12! This was most disturbing but it made the place so quiet you could hear a pin drop... Nearly.
A lot of Warcraft III was played, either Skibi Castle defence or one of the other Tower defence maps you can get these days (Elemental, Blizzard, Tree, etc). A special mention to Gand and Xenogen as they managed to systematically annoy and amuse everybody with their Guitar Hero antics!

Another month, another LAN. Except this one was a special LAN, as it was Staffs Gaming’s first birthday, our first LAN at the StaffsGaming LAN centre, Winter-een-mas and our best attendance yet!
We had 26 people attending plus our 2 admin’s so overall it was our record breaking 28 player LAN party, an excellent start to...

Our Christmas LAN was rather quiet, but it was that time of year and people have other things to do (family etc.). Not a lot of gaming was done with there only being 10 people there, but we did get quite a few games of Empire Earth played :) I was proud to call myself the winner in every game (especially the one when I took on the other 3 teams on my own and won :D

|
I have been asked to write another write-up about a past LAN, one that was weeks ago and thus my memory fails me as to what happened! I finally managed to get a few garbled words down on the screen and this is it!
Read it if you dare.

| SGLAN #10 Photo's online! |
The photo's from the latest LAN are now online. Now I know somebody requested titles on the, but I can't remember who!
I will title the photo's with the funniest comment's on there!

Well our ninth LAN party has been and gone, and it was pretty slow to be fair. Only a couple of people actually bothered to turn up in fancy dress, I was ill (hot & cold flushes FTL), the Friday night set-up was practically a Saturday Morning set-up, the amount of actual LAN gaming done was considerably lower than usual and let’s not mention the gigabit switch that decided it won’t work for us at the LAN then started working when I got it home, damn it I should think before I type.

The few photos taken at SGLAN #8 are now online! I apologise for the wait, I've been having problems with my PC and I completely forgot that Reactionz gave them to me.
